In observance of Fashion Revolution Week and Mend in Public Day, join Old Flame Mending and Otto Finn to learn the basics of mending your own clothing by hand! If you've always wanted to learn how to sew on a button, sew up a seam, patch a hole, or repair small tears in a garment.

Old Flame Mending + Otto Finn will provide all sewing materials, but participants should bring garments that are in need of mending. Recommended items: clothes with a loose or missing button / hook + eye, items that have a small tear or items that have a small hole (holes should be smaller than a quarter).

Lightweight woven fabrics and lightweight- heavyweight knits recommended. Not recommended: denim, leather, heavy duty fabrics, sweaters, complex repairs like zipper replacement, etc.

With admission, participants will receive a sewing kit to take home, which will include scissors, a variety of needles, 1 spool of thread, embroidery floss, and a thimble.
